any ideas please

i could possilby be faulty or undersized. What boiler was fitted before? has there been any work on cold main that may have increased pressure and/or flow? new taps or appliances fitted recently?

mi only asks for ev when there is a non return valve on the cold supply i take that is the case, this could have a bearing on your problem, but if it never happened before i doubt it,and the reason the ev is fitted is not to cure water hammer.

there is a non return on the cold supply, also im well aware that the reason for fitting it is not for water hammer its to protect the plastic in the boiler from splitting. i have had it happen before hence the reason for fitting it.

AW

im dont think it would be undersized as it is only for the cold water. it deffo didnt happen before and there has been no work on cold mains.
