have one of these to first fix tomorrow but have never fitted this brand do we still bed down on cement or a flexible adhesive. The website is less than helpful.
dont see why as anything better than what they recommend silicone and tbh hadn't had one call back due to shower tray moving, and no point in using sand and cement on wooden floors

I agree shaun , i always use flexible tile adhesive on 90% of trays, but I rang mira over this and they said sand and cement or silicone but silicone obviously wont work over the area of a large tray, to take up any low points in the floor.

Lol no, the last 3 trays I have done have been flights, they have hard plastic bottoms (lol) so with the right type of silicone they would stick to a ply base like s*** to a blanket.
As for the sand and cement 5-1 is a very weak mix so perhaps they need it more as a leveller than an actual adhesive, but I am only guessing tbh.
I did a flight last week and for the first time used their leg kit, ok £50.00 but a lot faster than going buying some ply ,working out heights , screwing together etc etc , loads faster, and it comes with very flexible facia panel to hide the legs .

When I need to raise a try its just 3x2 and 18mm ply no working out measurements, and flat fascia board screwed to the front
I find it easier and stronger than the legs kits
