Yes, checked L-N L-E and N-E all ok. Over heat not sure, not much inside the shower seems to be accessible. I have been looking for the manual online but not finding one that matches this shower. (My own shower).
Read on here somewhere that it had been a pull switch on another thread but thought I could rule that out with having checked for power at the shower and ok.
Thermal cut out on those showers is at the top
of the wee cylinder & it is by far the most troublesome part & kills the power to entire shower. It seems to suffer from corrosion & this needs scraped off the top of cylinder before fitting a new cut out. Dead easy to test. Only about £11

Solenoid will be also an easy to fit part & very low cost.
The latch switch (switch behind the on button) can fail also & you can remove it by prising the switch out of its place. It's just push on wire terminals. Switch is same black colour as its holder, but is a separate part.
