Mira thermostatic shower help needed

Hi folks. Posted this in the showers forum but had no response so re-posting here.

Hope you can help. Installed a Mira Element thermostatic mixer shower about a month ago that was fine to begin with, now makes a terrible high pitched whistling noise when on full. Otherwise working perfectly, just need to solve this. Its fed from a Worcester 24 junior and mains cold water. Thought it may be a pressure issue? Any advice greatly received. Thanks.

Mains pressure is quite high. Is it best to fit a pressure reducing valve first and see if that cures it?

yes i think that would be a good idea and throttle it down to 3 bar
