Discuss mixer taps shower bathroom in the Showers and Wetrooms Advice area at Plumbers Forums

I have direct cold water to the cold water upstairs and I have a brand new combi-boiler for hot water.?.

Depending on your litres per minute available I would suggest a mixer shower, although I know soon people prefer an electric shower as a backup in case there’s a hot water fault on boiler.

Edit: just re-read your first post, it also depends on your bath mixer shower tap.
