i have a client that wants a lower hot water temperature at his taps, I have recommended placing a mixer valve at the outlet of the hot water cylinder to reduce the temp.
i don’t want to drop the cylinder stat down, and a mixer at each tap would more expensive.
Its an open feed cylinder horizontal ( on the ground floor ) , with good pressure from the tank in the loft.
I know thermal store cylinders used with solar have mixers on the out lets.

question is can i do this with a normal domestic hot water system?
i am aware that in hospitals its not good practice due to long pipe runs and legionella can form in pipes, but this is just a 3 bed house.
thanks for your feed back

All sorted I found info at reliance, best practice is to install a mixer within 2 meter from taps etc.
