Morning

I have updated your permissions @Harvest Fields and @Riley so you should see what @ShaunCorbs can see now.

If you aren't sure about something or have any questions drop me a line!

Thanks :)

Again, leave any directory listing submissions unapproved. Just so I've said it again lol

You'll see those pop up and they might get annoying sitting there unapproved. But it really wont work if we approve just an email address and phone number. It wont help anybody. And actually does the forum harm because of so much duplicate content on those pages, Google wont rank any of them then.

Ok. So first question. What do we do with people that have multiple accounts?

No worries mate. Got that. I will ignore the approval que for now. Until You say otherwise

For now, nothing.

It is basing it off IP addresses sometimes, and for example, EE and Vodafone use the same IP address in one mast, so busy areas like Brum and Manc end up triggering a few members sometimes. It's just them using their phones at work. They wont even know each other 99% of the time.

So it needs to be based on a few things all at the same time.

So leave those for me and Lou. In fact mainly me, even Lou doesn't check everything I can.

When it triggers new member registrations, if it says COOKIE MATCHED, that's genuine. So if we have banned one account, and then they register again from the same device, they will trigger a report and we can click 'ban' on the new account too. Or if we click SPAM on it, it will block their registrations from that same device.

As it's easy to get wrong, and even I'm reconfiguring things as they trigger and am needed to triple check, I think it's best to just give me or Lou a shout. Once I've finished setting them up right, I'll make an instructional thread in the mods forum saying how to go about each outcome.

:)
