Wonder if somebody could help me out. Got a customer with one of the new style stop taps. It's basically a plastic cover on the internal side with a small black lever. Then on the external side is the water meter with the isolator that is attached to the internal lever. So in effect the small black lever in the internal side is the stop tap. This level is turning but doesn't turn off the supply at all, so the customer is relaying on the stop tap in the street. My question is, can you replace this lever yourself or is it a job for the water board? The space is minimal so i can't just fit another stop tap after as there is no room whatsoever. Hope that makes sense, have got pics if it doesn't!
