I called into a Lidl warehouse clearance and discovered nearly everything was being further reduced to clear.
It was a buy one, get any other item of same price free.
I know this l-ion rechargeable screwdriver/torch ain't going to do heavy work, but I had to buy these and other things at £5 each

holesaw set works...used it a few times

That's good to know. The drill in the centre of the hole saws will save me having to use a template guide to drill holes, like you need with the solid one piece tile hole cutters.
At £5 it was worth trying.
I previously bought a petrol lawnmower there, all metal deck and Briggs & Stratton engine, for £69.99. A real bargain.

I've got one of the lawnmowers had it 3 years never missed a beat starts 1st/2nd pull on cord, calling into Lidl today to see what on offer.

Yes, just press the primer button a few times and it should start first pull. I am told the engine is actually very good. You could hardy get a mower serviced for that money! And you get a 3 year warranty with the mower!
If you look after it and change the oil and air filter you should have it for 10 plus years.
Those Lidl warehouse clearances have some real steals.

Best your are all either Hilti or Lidil Do you have anything inbetween? ha ha ha..

Well observed Phil !
But sometimes cheap tools are so inexpensive that I just have to buy them. One job and they have already paid for themselves. My Lidl multitool does the job as good as my £200+ Fein tool, although it overheats easily if used long.
I am just back from clearance sale again and bought set of small tile diamond drills for £2.50.

Maybe I'm a brand ***** but you have to ask yourself some serious questions about a professional who turned up to fit a kitchen with a load of disposable Parkside Diy toys.

I mean if I took my Bentley (not that I have one) for a respray and he started unpacking a Poundland airbrush set ages 5-11 I'd start having doubts about him replicating the 30 coat glass like mirror finish.

Edit: This is a dig at that joiner...not you Best.

Phil, that is so true, when you put it like that! I wouldn't be impressed if a joiner came with a Parkside mitre saw to do a job. I hate to see plumbers using rusty or cheap adjustables for example.
On your question about do I use any "inbetween" average, just one step up from Lidl tools, - answer is Yes, I do have some Bosch and Makita gear.

I'd have to completely agree here I always say if you turn up in your car, with trainers, work pants and any old t-shirt, pull out your messy tool box full of sh*te vs Sign written van, company branded work gear and quality well looked after tools I know what would make the customer hand over the large sums of Money we all wish we got paid

The only thing worth buying from Lidl toolwise is their wetvac which has a convinient drain off cap. Sure you might save 50 quid on a power tool but over the year the extra few minutes you could have saved by using a proper tool each time will amount to many wasted hours mucking about with the cheap tools. But then again even the best skil saw is only as good as the blade you put in it..

I must not be a fischer price chap

The wee Parkside drill I tried and it is a bit feeble. But at £5 it will do nicely for light screws in cupboards and it has a torch on base of handle. Plus it comes with a set of bits.
I know the £30 Lidl multitool is all an occasional user needs and it is a throwaway price, considering you get set of blades etc with it.
Lidl were clearing very nice bench drills for £25 in their sale. Can't really beat the reasonable quality to price value in that.
Better having some cheap tools and bits rather than someday needing them in a hurry
