Hi, I was looking for some advice on moving my gas meter. I'd like to move it about 500mm onto my neighbours extention wall, is this allowed ? I can't find any info on this anywhere.

Thanks.

Not sure on the legal terms but I would probably say that is won't be allowed. You are better of speaking to your gas transporter and your neighbour.

you are not allowed to relocate it unless you hold meters on your ticket and have been authorised by the gas transporter !!!

I'm a fully qualified plumber and well aware that i'm not allowed to move it myself, I was just asking if it could be relocated ( by someone else ) onto a neighbours wall. Thanks for your input anyway.

My guess would be no your meter should be attached to your property means of access and all that

Although essentially it could be done. I would say there would be to much red tape as it is getting moved onto another property.

The transporter would be best persons to consult.
