Néed to move a cold water Cistern and f+e tank up in the loft for a builder. It's basically moving from one side of the loft to the other, but where its moving to is where the pipes come up from the airing cupboard. Need to build a new base for it all to sit on and new warning pipes for both to go out.

How long would you lot allow for this kind of job and a rough price as the builder is saying it will only take 2 - 3 hours for the pair of us (me and my dad work together) but I have a feeling it will take a bit longer than that so just want to check before I go back to him.

Cheers

So you need to move two tanks ...the cold water storage tank and the feed and expansion tank.
The plinths need to be the same height and strong ...without the pipework it’s most probably a days work ...make sure they are properly insulated under and around and the insulated lids fit.

I did think a day for one person but he was adamant it would only be half a day for one.

Cheers for your help. 👍🏼

I would allow 2-3 hours for the base alone but for the full job day to day and a half I would allow includes draining down and laggin etc
