I heard negative reviews from people at the Honeywell course today.. But my boss reckons they're good

I've not heard anything good about him. Apparently it's one long sales pitch to buy his DVDs, multimeter that he sells, etc. But I've not been personally. The 3-day Baxi course is superb though and covers all the ground he does.

How did you find the Honeywell course Jay ?

You should have been top of the class!!!
Haha to be honest I learned most things before the course but I picked up some additional bits which really helped.. I'm glad I did as we only did wiring theory and practical for about 2 hours out an 8 hour day... The rest was more sales related and a tad boring... But lunch was epic ;)

Will have to look into it.. I saw another thread on here that said you could possibly get it for free? This right?

The Baxi course? I don't know about free but it wasn't expensive. Are you on my dropbox? All the course materials are there - the full handout. To be honest if you read through that and have a bit of a play on any boilers you come across you don't really need to actually go on the course. Have you got a multimeter?
