Multi point water heater.

Hi guys, not seen one of these since I left college so after little advice. Any recommendations for replacement of multipoint water heater. Had some good advice from Facebook gas group. Main was recommended as I like baxi group it seems a good choice. However they do fan flued or balanced flue. Not sure which to recommend. Not seen the one that is in now but probably going be balanced I guess. thought's? Oil heating in now which he wants to keep. Ng watwr heater by the way, not electric

Go for the main one. you would need to get power to a fanned flue one. If its a balanced flue one its such an easy swap. I did one in november and it took all of 2 hours start to finish. Williams and co sell them

Still 15mm gas pipe? Advantage to fan flue? Slightly more efficient maybe and easier sighting close to opening, is that about it?

20 quid a year saving on gas, core drill small hole in comparison to b/f

Ariston do a good one, I know there boilers are cache but fitted one of there heaters last year and was quite impressed,

Thanks again. Yes I hate ariston but there's a massive lack in choice it seems. I'll push the baxi main but I will give the option of the ariston. (Please god forgive me!!)

Hahahaha,,, stick with the main, ive only fitted one of the ariston but it gets really well used and to date hasnt missed a beat , BUT that dont mean nothing lol,,, at least the main ones are known as being reliable , ariston lacks in alot of areas so its hard to gain confidence with them ,,, i know where your coming from lol

unless its recent they are no longer a straight swop but diffences are minor bit awkward if existing pipework goes sideways rather than rises from below

Steve nothing us ever simple when I have to do! It's been mentioned that it is sometimes possible to use same flue as old one, I'd never do that though. Every balanced flue I've seen are well on there way to rotting
