Was out at an call out with my joiner burst heating pipe customer was worried about her flooring my joiner got out his multi tool cut flat alone the skirting and managed to lift the laminate flooring no hassle no marks looks like it was just fitted.


So i want one ha ha been on my list for ages soo which one to buy, my joiner uses the Fein one cracking machine never used one before but i had a wee shot of it today to cut a channel in the skirting amazing.

What cordless power tools you use smt?

for the corded the fein are my favorate.
Ive got a second hand one that must be 7 or 8 years old. Its still great.

ive also got the little 12v milwaukee one which is lovely and portable but lacks the grunt of the corded and it uses the juice up at a fair rate.

I've got a bosch one, its good for the money considering the limited use it gets. Don't bother with cordless btw, useless.

currently hilti 18v hand drill, hammer drill 18v 3kg sds plus ( my mates) bosch jig saw circular saw cordless and bosch cordedsds and a makita core drill.

Looking to buy the new Dewalt stuff very shortly with the fast charge batterys

Genuine Fein blades aren't cheap !! I've used Saxton and Shark blades.

Yeah, blades are very expensive. Even the cheap ones. Which is why it only gets used sparingly.

Dewalt has a fairly impressive offering in multi tools that they recently released. Give it a google.
they have the corded version out now and will be releasing the cordless early next year i think.

cheap blades for wood or metel.
10 cheap blades are the same price as 2 or 3 fein blades and you will get roughly the same life for your money.

Advantage with the cheap blades is when you hit some plaster, brick or an old heavy duty nail and knacker the blade, youve lost one cheap blade, not an expensive one!

if you want to cut acess panels into tiles or simply cut them get the expensive thin fein jobbys. Well worth the money and unlike the toothed blades you wont have the issue when you hit stuff (within reason)

I have the 12 volt bosch one hardly use it, the battery is not man enough and 1 fails to charge at all V disappointed. Wont buy bosch again hardly used and in 1 year 1 battery gives up.

Bosch one for me. I get the blades off of fleabay, from Saxton Trading. Good prices, and last quite well.

Fein all the way, blades are expensive but they're worth it. Handy is an understatement.

Ive tried the Bosch blades with adaptors and it's nowhere near as good as a genuine feint blade set up.

i've had my fein for a bout 4 1/2 years now and would be lost without it. i get the blades in 10's off flea bay For £1.69 a blade

Ive got the cheaper of the Feins, and as above, its amazing, I used it just yesterday to neatly open up some awful boxing to get to a ballofix. I havnt tried the cheap blades.
