any tips on how to free of (wd40 i know) siezed bleed nipples and what to do if one snaps on you mid flow, ie
when you have just cracked of then the head shears leaving fine spray comming out?.
how whould you go about sealing the vent to stop the flow?.

change the vent ?
 
anyway ,close both wheel head and lockshield and pressure will be no more than a cup full of water and then dead as a dodo. leave the rad for a week then if u wish !!!!!!
i patched one with that magic metal putty stuff.[self tapped a new bleed screw then later] have some in the van...not sure of correct name !! good tack though....
 
hmmm, what about if rad valves let by, which they do 20% of the time.

to be honest i usually combat the problem before it happens. You can usually tell if there going to break. Before iv applied heat to them to free them up, but this isnt a 10 minute job

YOUR RIGHT. this is what i am on about.
the customer i am thinking about, her system is bad and needs rads bled. i think most of the valves are seized or leaky, so is the nipples. what i am concerned about is sticking in the key and them psssng all over and no means of shutting of?.
