The pictured shower valve has a small leak on the spindle which a strip-down and clean has cured, however, I think a seal kit would be a good long term option. the unit was installed around 2002. The block has no makers name on it, a trip to the local bath and kitchen centre has been unproductive.
The Manager as usual was very helpful, he's been in the trade for 25+ years but couldn't identify it, his personal opinion is that having no makers name on it usually meant an import, would be grateful for any help.

The mixer internal build quality looks good, the two bathrooms are fitted out with Lefroy Brooks high level toilets, baths with LB matching taps with shower handsets, the whole job appears to be done without regard to cost, it could of course had a cheap unit installed but I would be suprised.

Its unusual for a quality brand to have no markings. I would strip it and see if its just a standard size o-rings that make up the main pressure bearing areas and try and find a set from a plumbers merchants. This however could take a loooong time. So as is said above, be prepared to have to purchase a new valve....... bloody cheap imports :(

I've stripped the valve out and cleaned all the parts and seals in my ultrasonic cleaner, reassembled and refitted using plumbers grease. The unit works much smoother AND no leaks!
If the unit leaks again the idea of a trip to the local merchants for seals looks a sound idea. If anyone can identify the unit that would be helpful for the future.
