I have a quarter turn on/off lever tap that I want to replace as it's dripping. I have no clue how to remove it having taken the cap off. Have a look at the attached pic. Any clues? The shower is maybe 20 years old, and is a traditional brass exposed valve type.

Pulls off but limescale / scale holding it on
