Has anyone heard of the protest against fuel price increases

Over the last two months people have been encouraged to use supermarkets and smaller outlets rather than BP etc to make a stance

Personnally I use Morrisons but thats because I shop there and every now and then they give me a £5 voucher

However I have been told, (twice now) that on MAy the 1st to boycott any petrol station, fill up the day before or after so to affect their figures for that day.

Has anyone heard this, I cant see it making a difference as people will still need petrol and the stations will make extra money on the days before or after.

My belief is to do something else, maybe boycott for a week!, i could fill up and drive conservatively and easily last a week

Or for all diesel drivers to use cooking oil, as shown it works

Thoughts please gentleman

not heard anything but a boycot i doubt would make any impact.

i understand wanting to make an impact but this wont work, Imagine if everyone stopped shopping at supermarkets for a day. They would all need to go the days before or after and their sales figures will be higher on these days to make up for the boycotted day

#I just think the newspapers need to come up with something better than this

yes i got that info too.

everyone not to fill up at the esso, bp, shell garages but use supamarkets instead, will affect the fuel price as supermarkets dont just profit on fueal alone.
but everyone needs to do it to be effective, it can cause a drop in fuel of around 5p per litre per day...

Won't affect sales in the long run but what it would do is muck up their logistics as all deliveries etc are pre scheduled.

Thats where my idea of boycotting for a week comes in but you need national newspapers to organise something on this scale

No point me telling the lads in the pub on a friday

i think it was started on facebook,it does'nt affect me as my company kindly gave me a fuel card.
