Is that a red water washer? Is the drawers under the hob or an oven?

Under a hob. Yes water washer but that is just half the problem

Normally cut the upstand off and use a flat face washer

I know that is a bad install but isn’t a flexi gas pipe aloud if no oven? That’s what they use in disability housing

It's track pipe so that is fine. It is the compression fitting onto a flat faces washer fitting.

You Can file the threads flat though

dont see many bent tap connectors, cost more than a st elbow and nut and olive.

did it have the barrier between the top draw and hob underside? the number of kitchen fitters that hate me when i insist on the barrier being fitted is getting quite high.

Can't say I have ever seen a barrier fitted, didn't know there was such a thing
