Any reason this can't be done?

Even if I take off the pressure vessel and cap it off???

The tank is probably less than 1 meter above the shower head so not much pressure to begin with anyway...

Have read it and my question remains. The pressure vessel is there to kick start the flow of water which flicks the flow switch and starts the pump, in situations where there is no gravity to start them.
That link says you can use a NH pump on a PH system if there are restrictors on the outlets which cause a lack of pressure.

i was chirpy about converting a neg head to pos head, is it that you have bought a neg head pump and are determined to use it?

Negative head will work on a positive head system on the salamanders without the need to do anything.

No its just that I have one taking up space in my flat and my brother wants rid of his electric shower so said I'd fit a bar mixer for him with a pump..

Saves him forking out for a dedicated positive pump ;)

I know you were chirpy mate, sorry I just reread my reply I didn't mean to sound blunt ... Apologies Lame
