Hi all, going to replace my boiler have a potterton promax 24he regular boiler 14 years old having continuous ignition lockout and has started leaking so has to go , looking at a couple of cheap boilers the potterton gold 24kw open vent which would prob be a straight swap and just seen a ariston clas 24kw which has a stainless steel heat exchanger and 5y guarantee which one would you go for, looked at loads of reviews and even the high end boilers have horror stories can't find many reviews on the ariston but one said that they had a bad reputation but they have come leaps and bounds so thats why I gave it a look , just need some advice leaning towards the ariston, thanks.

Hi scot, yes would like to I am gas safe registered but only with in the firm I work for and can not use it outside of work hours so can't sign it off for the warranty ,doe's that make sense lol

What boilers do your company fit?
I would avoid all cheap boilers unless you have to

Was alpha but now potterton duo tec but they don't fit many its a home maintenance for council etc we mainly do cap offs and saftey checks on gas fires etc after internal alterations or new electric fans.
Was looking at the ariston for spec but I know mostly you get what you pay for
