I'm back again after what is turning out to be abit of a headache, i had a boiler fitted recently and I was assured any necessary documentation would be provided,
I was under the impression I would receive a gas safety cert along with a building compliance cert,
What I have been sent is a landlords gas safety certificate. This has confused me as I'm not a landlord neither a tenant.
I'm calling the engineer tomorrow, I'm just here asking for advice on what i should say or request if anything from the engineer.

Thanks

Depends on the gas safety document used, my landlord pads are for both landlords and homeowners, however a homeowner gas safety cert isn't mandatory. What your engineer should have done was register your boiler with the manufacturer, fill out the benchmark form which is at the back of the boiler service and installation manual, and inform gas safe of the installation. If your boiler has been registered with gas safe then you will receive your compliance certificate through the post. When was your boiler installed?

Technically yes but it would depend if the warranty engineer actually looks.
I installed my parents boiler while I was training for my gas safe, it was commissioned by my supervisor but only registered with Worcester and not gas safe. They've had Worcester out to it twice and nothings been said about the missing compliance number.

I used to register job lots of boilers at the same time instead of doing each one separately I would register them all at the end of the month. If they only installed it at the start of the month he may of registered it and the building certificate could be on the way or they could of done what I used to do.
