I have a Vaillant Thermocompact supplying 2 heating circuits and the DHW. It's around 12 years old, needs the occasional repressurising, but generally been excellent. BG engineer was round last week, to replace the mains supply tap to the Megaflo and change a noisy motorised valve on one heating circuit.
He reckons it would be worth switching to a Combi, either Vaillant again or a Worcester - and they have a deal on at the moment.
I remember when we were building the house we were advised not to touch a Combi with the proverbial bargepole - any thoughts?
We have been told a number of times that the pressure vessel on the Thermocompact is a bit on the small side for our system, but it seems to work OK. The advice to change is because the old boiler's 12 years old, and a new Combi would be much more efficient. Any opinions on this from the pros gratefully received.
