I wanted to ask you guys for some advice. How would you advise to run radiator pipes in new build flats? The floors are all concrete, someone advised to run them in the floor before the screed goes in?
Run them in ducting under the screed. Do it in 10mm plastic have a manifold somewhere above ground then run in 1 continuous run to the rad so you have no joints under the floor.
Thanks for your replies. Ideally in the floor to make the job neat as possible. The ducting in the screed doesn’t sound like a bad option if it’s run around the perimeter of the rooms?
If you go up and have drops you will have to have a false ceiling. The ceiling and adjoining walls will have to be fire rated so you cant have pipes sticking through everywhere.

What the plasterboard? Either straight to the joists or yeah onto batons on the joists.
That doesn't get past the fact building control do not like pipes coming through causing holes into the fire protection. Not sure how electricians get round it but from past experiences your better off going down and up.
