New government, new ideas?

Assuming we get a new government, what changes do you think they could implement to revitalise our industry.... and what do you think we can do to help ourselves?

like last time,
disband all the pits, sell of b.gas b.telecom etc and skru the peaople.
how to get ahead?. buy thousands in shares when they do, providing you have £100000000's.

or stick with the government we have and sell off the UK's gold reserve at the lowest point, sell off all government land, spend millions on a war sending troops in without equipment that they need, continue paying lazy people and increase tax to people who work and want to improve there lot, more stealth taxes, largest deficit in years........

socialism always fails when they run out of someone elses money
which sums up pretty much what happens in the political system here tories fill the pots but at the cost of hard times for all then labour come in and spend it which makes everyone feel good then they run out of money repeat ad nauseam
i dread to think where we will wind up if there is a hung parliment and a lib lab pact wind up in charge
unfortunatly this is likley as the electorial boundaries in this country favour labour
if you want to get ahead in the next few years join the black economy work for cash and sign on thats what happened last time so many unemployed they couldnt check up on 1 percent of them

But your 100% right. I know too many people under this government who are better off and have never worked. Unfortunately, we're forced to duck and dive........

This government has weak immigration policies, lax policies on people claiming benefit, which the honest working people never seem to be entitled to. How can cuts be made in the M.O.D when soldiers are dying due to lack of equipment, I'm not even talking about helicopters but basic kit where soldiers buy it themselves.

But, lets spend millions on an I.D card system......

Too top it all, MP's have got the damn cheek to talk about cuts and raising taxes etc. hard times ahead oh and more taxes then get caught with there pants around their ankles over the expenses claims...........

I'm sure we'd all be hung drawn and quartered by the tax man if tried to claim anything untoward!

Still although I can't wait to see the back of Brown, I'm under no illusion that the rest aren't any better. Still, I've always been better off under a tory government.

well before long there will be nothing left of this country to sell,labour have done most of that we have no motor industry,no national componys our chocolates been sold to the cheese firm etc etc.., and even baxi 105 he[which i thought came from preston] are made in italy

i'm 48yrs old and have only voted once (when i was 18) cant even remember who i voted for, so i suppose in a way i shouldn't complain, but i honestly dont think it matters who is in charge, they are all as bad as each other, you keep the same mob in and they carry on doing their usual, or you change to another mob and they spend billions changing what we have as they have to be seen to be doing their thing, complete sham, best expenses scam i have heard lately is the MP who "forgot" his mortgage was paid so he claimed expenses, got caught, and stopped claiming, next thing is he puts in expenses claim for rent he is paying to someone, submits tenancy agreement as proof, except it turns out the landlord is his daughter, using her middle name as a surname, and even better is the MP and his wife actually own the flat, you couldnt make it up, if he gets deselected or quits we are threatening not to give him his £65k pay off, FFS him and his daughter should get the jail for fraud, SE guys and girls are getting (quite rightly) scrutinised for claiming a bit extra on things to try to eek out a living and getting hit for a 7 year back tax bill if caught
