Discuss New leaky boiler - opinions in the Boilers area at Plumbers Forums

Hi everyone,

I’m a private tenant. Just had a new boiler installed 3 weeks ago as old one had scorch marks around it. The new boiler is now already leaking water. I just wanted some opinions on the install as the estate agents want to send the same contractor around to fix it, but I’m concerned he’s not competent.

I know f all, but the installation looks very messy - gaffer tape used to hold wires below and the power cable not in casing and leading into a hole in the wall.
Any replies appreciated.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to reply. Yes, knew it wasn’t good but the way the estate agents act, it’s as if I’m complaining about nothing. Just concerned it’s not just cosmetic problems (it’s in a boiler cupboard anyway) but could lead to breakdowns or even be dangerous.
