Fitted a good few of these now, great wee boiler, except for the new wiring connections!!

Anyway, fitted one a month ago and the customer is complaining about the boiler still running after a demand. Been back to check it out, and the over run time is about 4 minutes, same as a few others i've checked on other installs. 4 mins does seem a bit excessive! Have tried explaining it removes heat etc to prolong boiler life, but she hates it using electricity!! Anyone know if you can alter the over run time?

I would check with ideal first, if you do anything to infringe the warranty.......

Agree with the wiring, improved the position of pressure gauge but harder to wire.

Haven't fitted any of the newer models, whats the issue with wiring?

Pressure gauge on boiler now isn't it?

To be honest I've always had an issue with the horseshoe clip around the flue! When attending an ideal it's the first thing I check, they have a nasty habit of uclipping at the sides!

Really??? Clipped in and screwed, never had any pop out. I think the flue installation is a massive plus point for the boiler.

Gauge is on the boiler now, which saves a few quid on the gauge extender. Wiring is very tight, small connector block, and the rubber sleeve the cable goes through is a nightmare to cut and get the cable through

Usually not been screwed! Been to a number off them, like this!

cable clamps are a pain if using thick cable. dont wire the pump to PL on the heat only, it does not have an over run now. they dont explain it well in the instructions.

I've not fitted a logic for a while, stopped as soon as they went over to plastic hydroblocks.

That's installer error, not product issue

I agree that it is installer error, but i would say that it is an incompetent design flaw by the manufacturers designers, that allow installer error! Or even dare I say it, installer laziness!!!
