Marco

Just a quick hello. I actually joined 5 months ago, and found the site very useful to understand what C&G and NVQ's etc were required. But other than absorbing as much information as I could - and there's lots to learn (!) I didn't have much to actually say.

Well I've finally taken the plunge into the world of plumbing! Left old job and started on a full time C&G level 2 6129. As well as doing that I've started advertising for basic jobs, set up a website, printed off some business cards etc its been busy! I'll put a seperate post on the training courses section, as I found it useful to read about the good, bad and ugly courses out there, and I finally made a choice....

bye for now,

Marco

Hi Marco,

Please can you let us know your progress and how are things going for you?
Who did you end up studying through and was the school any good.
It would be great to hear from you.

Cheers

Thanks for the welcome!

Donny -I started studying C&G 6129 level 1, 2 weeks ago with NTPS Training Ltd based in Hyde East Manchester. They are a small 1 centre trainer, but found them very good so far (I've put a more detailed post in the training section). I'm based in Preston, so its around an hour away, but prefer to travel there than some nearer locations. Also registered with Delta Electrical Training in Leyland to do Part P in a few weeks. Did first job for paying customer last 2 saturdays (ok it was for the in laws!) replaced burnt out immersion thermostat, flex and double pole switch!
