NEW PLUMBER with NVQ Level 2 Question

Hello All,

Just got my City & Guild Plumbing certificate before christmas. Have already completed a complete new install of a three bedroom house.

Works comprised of,
1- removal of all old lead pipe work.
2- installation of hot and col water pipes
3- new central heating flow and return
4- new rads
5- new bathroom
6- new kitchen
7- testing & commissioning of system

So i wonder could i got for my NCQ Level 2 now? I heard that the requirements for the Level 2 will be changing in April 09. Is this true.

Anyways glad to be a plumber now. Used to be a Civil Engineer all over the world but now want work for myself.

i have a feeling the assesers need to see you doing a certain amount of jos on site but if you take pictures of all the work your doing and you do decide to do nvq2 it will help you quite alot

Hi, once you have an NVQ portfolio to be filling in then the IV assessor will have to visit you on the job at least 4 times over a minimum of 70 days possibly 6 visits. These are to witness 1 of the 2 bathroom suites needed, 1 central heating system with a min.4 radiators, 1 decomissioning of bathroom suite and some sanitary pipe work. More evidence of these kind of jobs is needed photographically. This is roughly what I'm being asked to do as I start the NVQ 2 now. 1st I've gotta get all the write -ups done for the C&G bit Aaaargh!
