Hi i need install a new shower and i want to install a shower pod which needs a conventional pump to run.

I currently have an electric shower and the heating system is from a potterton suprima 40 with a tank in the loft and a hot water cylinder at the top of the stairs.

q. what is the best system to run this power shower pod.
q. do i need to change anything or just connect the pod pump to the cylinder?

I do think i need to renew my boiler and really would like to remove the storage tank to create space and remove the header tank in the loft by insalling a new boiler but i would also like to install it in the loft to create space in the kitchen.

what are my best options.

thanx in advance

Alan

If you were to fit a combi, it would allow for the removal of loft tanks, cylinder and could be sited the loft space, and should be able to feed the shower pod without the needs for a pump! would need to check MI's though to confirm.

Hi Cheers

I have filled a 2 Litre coke bottle thro the 15mm supply pipe and it took 4-5 seconds. From this i am assuming i am getting 26/27 Litres/Minute. Would this be correct and if so is it enough?

sounds like good flow but you need to find out the pressure too, that's dynamic pressure not static. One other thing to consider is that pressure and flow can fluctuate wildly thoughout the year and at times can drop off significantly.
