Im about to replace a very old back to the wall toilet where the waste goes straight down into floor. I was wondering how i can fit a new toilet with horizontal waste into the soil pipe without changing anything. because if i fit a new one it will sit flush with the wall covering the old soil pipe under the pan. Any help be great cheers.

usually box out behind the new wc, to bring it forward. other wise its redoing the soil pipe.

you will have to bring new toilet forwards and box in behind as simon f said. however you can get a swan neck waste connector like this 23824.jpgto allow the toilet to sit back farther

When you say box in do you mean construct a box behind the toilet? If you explain that would be great? Cheers

either a small box the size of the cistern or a half height boxing wall to wall with a shelf above to keep toilet rolls and the air freshener on.
