Hi Guys,

I'm wondering what "smaller" tools will be come handy in the future. I've just bought myself the basic tools such as pipe cutters, 10 and 12 inch water pump pliers, shifters, pipe wrench, hammer, chisel, gas etc.

What other tools would you guys recommend, the smaller tools that come handy?

Thanks :)

Buying tools is endless, you never have enough , you may think you do, but you always find something that may come in handy ! Depends what type of work you are going to cover ? Basic Plumbing / Drainage / Heating installation / Boiler repairs ? different fields different tools.

Small 1 1/2" dia "dentist" mirror on telescopic handle
Self standing powerful (but smallish) torch
Head torch
tool belt
work trousers with knee pads
Armeg jaw dropper basin tap wrench

Just to start naming a few!!!

In truth the best, (snickers bean bag and snickers XTR D30) are the best IMO and at £25 they cannot be said to be "unaffordable"

They save your knees (which are priceless) and take one job to pay back!

That's what I call an investment, and tax free as they are claimed back as protective workwear!

and redbacks are great too :)

i only ever buy Stanley insulated screw drivers they seem to last forever and not many other trades other than the sparks have them so you can usually keep a go eye on them when the chippies are about or who ever else (with exception to my wickes 450 long screwdrivers they are also ****ot!

How long do red backs stay comfy? My snickers ones done 6 months ( average) now they need a change

Recently brought the red backs after using foam for years and find them great but they are heavy and shorter in lenght so they fall to the bottom of the knee pockets with Dickies trousers.
