Hi. Hoping I might pick your collective brains. Was on the verge of chucking out what I thought was a defective counter top dishwasher but while disconnecting discovered the waste pipe had been squashed so much during installation there was almost no space for any waste to get out. Thought I'd give it another go so invested in a new waste hose. Fitted it ok (this is not my field) but find now I've got a leak in the inlet hose at the point where the metal clasp meets the molded plastic. Pic attached. Trying to figure out if this is fixable or if I need a new hose. Any advice would be gratefully received.

Hi and welcome along,

Unfortunately you will need to replace the hose. I don't see any point of fixing it even though it was possible. The hose is very cheap so why fixing, unless someone is short with money.

Kind regrads

Ron

Hi and welcome, did you fix your problem?

When my dishwasher stops doing a good job and I've cleaned the strainers but still not good, I've usually found a small piece of debris, a piece of plastic or broken glass has jammed the small impellor on the pump that takes water away.

You may have already done this but take the waste plate/strainer/filter thing out of the bottom of the dishwasher, make sure that is clean and also see if you can get at the little impellor to make sure it turns and doesn't have something jamming it up.

I forgot to reply to this to thank you. I had a poke around as per your suggestion. Can't say I noticed anything budge but it's been working pretty well ever since. Sorry for taking so long.
