Newbie waste help!

Hi all,
Great forum you have.

I have a very simple/basic problem.

I dropped something down the kitchen sink plug hole, disassembled a few of the pipes and retieved my article. Now in the process after getting covered in gunk i decided to give the pipes a clean and then replaced them. Now when i fill the sink and let it go the water flows out and up into the waste pipe overflow and into the cupboard.
It never did this before yet has now

Any help/solutions?

the waste over flow pipe should be connected from spigot on sink waste to the over flow connection at top rear or side of sink,sounds like it has become unattached,just reconnect correctly


ps being a nosey sod,what did you drop down sink in the first place 😛
