Hi,

I wonder if anyone could give me some advice please? All of a sudden I have no running cold water in my downstairs toilet. The toilet cistern was not filling and no water comes out the basin tap. I thought it may be an airlock so gave the pipe under the sink a gentle tap and now the cistern is filling but very slowly, the water drips in but the tap doesn't work.

There is an upstairs bathroom and the cold water in there is fine.

Is there a quick fix for this?

Thanks

i'm with glenno, some sort of blockage which partially cleared when you tapped the pipe. presumably it is tank fed not mains?

Yes it tank fed, the kitchen tap off the mains is fine, I don't think it can be the tank as the cold is ok upstairs
