in a customers house i removed refitted 3x rads so he could decorate now all was working fine and now approx 3 months later 1 rad has no heat he has tried venting and says is ok. any ideas, im thinking could be sludge all rad valves are open

no, that are just lockshields do you think it could be worth removing rad and cleaning through

is it the last rad on the system ?
try shutting the flow valve on the other rads then full flow will go to that one rad.

trouble is how do i know if it is last rad on system will try that tho and any other ideas just in case cheers sonray

not knowing the systems history,
is it the furtherest from the boiler, roughly.

if you find the flows to each rad and shut them off and leave that one open it will push full flow to that one.

if it still don't heat diconnect the flow/return and open each one over a bowl see if they flow.

i would say its more of a balancing or airlock issue than anything.

sonray spot on . turn off all other rads and c what happens.
otherwise u might have shifted some sxxte in the system. worst case - flush out system completely. sorted.

i returned to the job removed the rad and emptied and refilled same problem so tryed turning other rads off still no luck, it worked out that the bleed valve was blocked with s##t left working fine, now same problem again do you think i should reccomend a power fush to clear whole system. when i got in loft to have a look at pump and cylinder i found a mish mash of plumbing made up of push fits, nice job i thought!!
any replies greatly appreciated
