No hot water at kitchen tap

Afternoon all. I am thinking this is the diaphragm that has stretched a bit. Boiler is main 24he. Get hot water at all outlets apart from kitchen. Take hose from hot under the sink and boiler fires. Take airator out of tap and boiler fires. No scale in aerator.


Another one, system Boiler pressure gauge needle vibrating when heating on for a bit.

That's an odd one so boiler doesn't fire with aerator in ?

Is all about flow rates.
Sounds like the flow sensor is on on the way out, or dirty.

Or a dodgy tap cartridge. What flow rate are you getting from the hot tap?

7 ltrs a minute. If the cartridge, why would it work with the aerator removed?

So the pin o the diverter valve does not push out enough to hit the microswitch only on the hot tap

The flow rate with the aerator in? Need to see if the tap is giving enough flow as per the spec of the boiler to operate the microswitch.

Will check next time I am there. I do know that the cartridge is knackered as the tap drips profusely, sometimes streams when the taps in the bathroom are turned on.

New cartridges in and boiler still not firing at kitchen tap with aerator in.
