No hot water but Radiators OK

My CH system is working OK with the radiators hot and working correctly, but I get no hot water. The Boiler and pump seem OK. I have a Honeywell 2 way zone valve, which it was suggested to me may be the problem, and was told to move to valve to manual but all that did was put the radiators on and override the thermostat on the wall which was turned down - still no hot water - any ideas ??

give more details, do you have a cylinder stat, is there only 1 2 way valve, sounds like the one you operated manually was for central heating. possibly some pictures of pipe set up might help

I have a grey topped cylinder thermostat set at 5 (1-10) on the thinner copper pipe from the cylinder. There is only the 1 2 way valve(22mm Honeywell). This pipe is hot both sides of stat, and the pipe is hot both sides of the Honeywell. The lower pipe from the cylinder (22mm) is cold and has a tap on it which I thought may be a release valve but is probably just an online tap to isolate water from cylinder.

Looks like the only thing stopping the flow to the cylinder is your thermostat. Cannot see it being anything else.

Has the gate valve on the lower pipe from cylinder been closed ?

Take the head off the thermostatic valve on the flow to the coil and see if the pin is stuck closed

Got to agree, either that on the lower gate valve is only partially opened or is closed

That's exactly what it was - stuck Cylinder thermostat on pipe to cylinder. Got it released but will need to get a zone valve for hot water and cylinder thermostat fitted later ( Regulations apparently not allowed to replace stat ).
The zone valve I have is only for CH
For now the stat is set and I have hot water. Hurray!
