No hot water from 'Elson Diamond'

Hello all,

I am new to this forum, and I am hoping someone can help.

We have a Elson Diamond double feed indirect hot water unit, and we have had the hot water and heating running fine for the last couple of weeks, however the other night, something has gone wrong and we only now have central heating working. (I haven't drained the system since last year)

I have tried bleeding the tank with a valve that is connected to one of the pipes comming from the top of the unit, but that has not solved the problem.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be great.

does it have a 3 way valve near the cylinder?.

Unfortunately not. It is a square tank with (from memory) 5 pipes on one side and 1 pipe on the opposite side. The tank is situated inside my loft.

I'm new to the forum too, and have a problem with an Elson double diamond. Mine was working fine up until a couple of days ago. Mine is pretty old and the cold tank has a lot of scale build up. The symptom is that there is almost no hot water pressure with the taps eventually starving to a stop.

The heating circuit is fine so I have a tank of hot water that I can't use. I will keep you posted.

maybe your tapstat needs replacing or the primarys are air locked. but its hard to say without looking at it
