I have mixer taps on both my sink and bath, the one on the sink has ran slow for ages. Just left it because we only use that sink for brushing our teeth! Bad I know that we have left it!

About a week ago, the one on the bath started playing up first going slow, then the next day just a trickle now nothing.

Did the thing with the washing machine hose downstairs, theres no airlock as the pipes are getting nice and hot in the bathroom when I run the slow running hot tap in the sink so theres no problem with the hot water supply to the bathroom, so I am guessing it is either a valve or a washer in the tap maybe?

I'm thinking it's something simple I am just hoping someone can confirm this

Thanks in advance.

Seized tap probably. Turn the hot water feed off, take the tap spindles out and check they're operating correctly.

If your not sure how to do it then let us know your location and someone on here will be able to help.

could be debris coming down from the cwst in the loft. i had a job last week where the cold tap on the bath was only coming out at a dribble when on full, thought it was the washer but it turned out to be small amount of material in the spout.

Hot works often seize, or come apart inside. Washer needs checked first. If that is ok the works need taken apart & greased with silicone grease, but fault is often a worn O ring which is hard to get exact size. New works need to match head. Usually old can be fixed.

Ah steveb wonder if this could be the case. This happened to my cold kitchen tap once before so that could be the cause thankyou. These taps were fitted about 6 years ago if thats any help?
