No hot water on a combi boiler.

Hi all, my combi boiler viallant eco tec 824 does have hot water when i put the boiler control on hot water mode, but when i put the boiler on heating & hot water mode, i have hot water.
Why is this?
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Can you clarify. You have hot water in hot water mode but not when in hot water and heating mode?

sounds like a faulty connection in selector switch

Hi, no I have hot water when it's on heating mode but do not get water hot when on hot water mode.
