Combi or do you have a cylinder?
If cylinder could be an air lock, check big header tank, if full = air lock.
If so connect hose between hot & cold, turn on hot then cold for a few seconds, turn cold off, take hose off & see if hot runs.
If water to combi turned on could be a blocked filter on cold inlet.

Two words - Air lock.

I assume it's a gravity system? Your best bet it to blow it out at the kitchen sink. Do you know how to do this?
spoton danny and no idont no how to!

Kitchen tap is a good place to start. If its a mixer tap unscrew the spout off the tap and open the hot. Clamp your hand over the spout and gently open the cold tap, you can usually hear the gurgling back to the cylinder as it clears. Leave it for a couple of minutes and then open the hot and it should be clear.

OK mate, an easy way to do it (though not the cleanest) is to turn the hot tap on at the kitchen sink. Then jam your hand very tight over the end of the tap. Then creep the cold tap on, not full blast, but you will hear the cold mains pressure water forcing it's way up the hot pipe.

DON'T do it for ages and ages, but around a minute. Then take your hand away and sploosh, all that water will come rushing back down, repeat until you have a good flow from the hot.

There are other ways to do this (hoses and adapters) but this simple way will get you sorted out, and with practise is dead, dead simple. Good luck mate.

No probs mate - I'd see if you have any luck with my method first (I would though!!) as the water pours back down the spout and therefore not over the worktop. Though it is much easy to seal it with the spout off.

In the past I've done it with spout off. Then after after blowing the water back up the pipe. Switching the taps off, reattaching the spout, without screwing it back and run the water back into the sink.

You may get away with just shoving your hand over the tap though, which saves time. Glad to be of help. Gonna go bung my PS3 on now. Cheery bye all!
