No hot water??

Hi any one help, fitted new indirect hot water cylinder, 900x450. Range cylinder.
new pipe work etc, filled tested cylinder first, then heating side filled. All ok on heating
radiators really hot. BUT! Only warm water?? Cylinder stat fitted 3rd way up. Same position as
last cylinder, stat set on 60... It's a vaillant boiler. Any ideas..

Air lock? Valves fully open to the coil?

Yer I put air nipples on flow and return going into cylinder. Both pipes are red hot.

If flow and return are hot then the water should be heating up. Is there a lot of draw off? How long have you left it to get hot?

could be the cylinder return pipe to boiler blocked with magnatite restricting the flow . the cold feed normaly teed into the rtn on older boilers and prime suspect for blockage . you could drain down and disconnect cyl connections and blow through coil also disconnect boiler rtn and blow through cyl rtn to boiler.

Yer it is hot, that's what I thought flow return really hot, it took long to get hot water!!
