Recently my hot water, supplied from combi boiler stopped working.
I've just had boiler seen to and despite long and expensive checking engineer found no faults, but hot water still doesn't work. He suggested fault lies with mixer taps on bath or kitchen sink.
Before I start buying new taps, is this a possible reason for there to be only cold water?

Thanks for any replies.

do you have isolation valves to the cold taps?

isolate the colds then run the hot, if it is still not working then you have proved that the boiler is at fault.
if isolating the cold to the taps does make a difference then you have proved it is the tap.

What's the make and model of boiler?

The likelihood of 2 mixer valves failing at the same time is unlikely to say the least!

Are there any separate taps on other basins or sinks in the house?

What did your plumber check in order to come to his conclusion?
