Hi all, I got home yesterday and my wife tells me that we have no running water from our hot taps.
The header tank is full. We have tried draining everything down and we found big air locks but still no running water from the hot taps. It must be sludge or a blockage but I have no idea what to try next as I have no idea of plumbing at all.
Our house is a typical 1950's ex council house with a very simple gravity header tank going down to the copper cylinder.
It does seem that all radiators are filling but still no running water, just a trickle.

Could you people please advise me as to what I could possibly do?

Thank you all. We do not have a mixer tap but the Idea is sound. I am heading off to get a head to head hose to try the idea. IT WILL work, I just need the water pressure to do it, I tried it with a tap shower covering the head but I doubt this will gain enough footage to do the job.
Thanks so much guys ;-)
