This is being posted for a friend.
Basically, the lady in question has just had a new mixer tap fitted to her bath with shower attachment that has a lever to swop between the 2.
It was fitted and duly worked at the beginning. Now there is no water coming out of the taps/shower on the bath. However the sink taps still work fine.
She has only got an immersion heater downstairs and a cold header tank in the loft, so no boiler.
Several people seem to think it is an airlock, but I think that debris may be in the pipe work.
Ideas anyone please? Yours a puzzled lady.

The taps are not high pressure ones perchance, as these will stop the water flow nigh on if the pressure is really low . . .

Also check to see if isolation valves have been fitted (also a no no on low pressure systems!)

How would you know if the taps are "high pressure ones"?
I did ask about the isolator valves, but the lady concerned does not know what one is. What I don't get is why her bath taps worked before she had them changed over to this new one.

it will be noted in the instructions if they are high pressure or not as well as on the manufacturers website

ideally they will need to be taken off and see if flow comes from the pipework to the tap as that will eliminate a blockage in the supply pipework

does both hot and cold not work?

The lady has confirmed that tap is a one knob jobby, so I think it sound High press type.
She has no isolator valves fitted. If she adds a pump into the water circuit, where does it need to be to up the water pressure, for the current tap combi to work?
Or would it be cheaper to pop on a 2 knob mixer shower tap for the bath?
Thanks in advance guys n gals.
