Hi Eco,
May need some more info, what do you mean by noisy?

Well it is a loud humming noise when any non mains fed water is taken, either hot or cold.

what is the system presure?

I believe it to be 1.5 bar.

do you get water out of the refil valve on the Ex Vessel when you press the valve with a small screw driver?

No water. do you know if there is any pressure in the expansion vessel now? around .5 bar what is it on?

combi? system boiler? unvented hot water cylinder? solar system? Eco7

Sounds to me like water hammer, draw off some water so you get the humming and look in the cold water storage cistern, in roof or top of airing cupboard and the ball valve may be vibrating. If it is try fitting a new one. Main water pipe to cistern may also need supporting.

See if that helps.

Eco
