Hi,

I've recently had a new central heating pump installed to replace the antique I had which was getting towards end of life.

The new one has started making a horrible whine when heating the hot water tank which seems to go away if put on at the same time as the central heating.

Any idea what could be causing this and what I can do to fix?

Check your valves either side of the pump are fully open then turned back 1/2 a turn.

The isolation points either side of the pump.
make sure there open.
Failing that give the installer a quick call to come and have a look

When it was fitted a few weeks ago it was fine. Could it be air in the system?
