Hi :smiley2:

I have a Boulter Economy oil boiler, I have lots of very hot water when it's set to hot water only but when the heating and hot water are on together there is very little hot water and it's not very hot, the radiators are fine, but I can't even get a quarter of a bath when they are on together.

The boiler has just been serviced and is apparently working perfectly, it's thermostat is set on number 4 for winter heating and hot water as stated in the manual. I've looked in the airing cupboard to look for motorised valves etc, but there is only 2 red wheels on pipes to the right of the water tank. It seems quite a simple system. Has anybody got any ideas why I get so little and only warm water when the heating is on?

Thanks

Tanya

Depends how it is piped. It ideally should be all pumped circuits. If the pipes to the cylinder are working on gravity, sometimes the pumped circuit stops the gravity working.
So it is either that, or the pipes or coil at the cylinder have a partial blockage

Thanks for the replies everyone, SimonG - I'm away working at the mo but will upload a pic when I get back, I will also investigate the other suggested options.

Thanks again

Tanya

Here's a pic of my airing cupboard set up if it helps.
