Day one of my Oftec 101. came home with a full head!😕 need beer...

the stuff on where to put tanks and what type did my head in !
its all in the book at the end of the day, just have to remember where to find it !
good luck

oftec are the worst for not moving with the times with there regulations and when you about the heel test for a tank base every job will need 10 tonne of concrete. applied for the updates to be emailed to me and last jan got 26 updates so your head will keep hurting but bargain booze do a lot of cheap good beer

cheap good beer! My favorite words, Got the exam on Monday and the pratical on Tuesday...😕

Well, thats me sorted out as an "Oftec" engineer, done the pratical today with no worrys, all the sleepless nights for nothing! The course was a lot easyer than I thought it would be, the fact its an open book exam makes it impossible to fugg it all up.

Happy days smelling of oil! (makes a change from ****)

Hope you get an easy start.

Could be the first boiler you go to has a water leak and no amount of OFTEC learning will tell you how to cope with this.

One of the best things you can do now is go on a manufacturer's day course (e.g. Worcester) and learn how to sort their boilers out. I went on a 1 day course to Worcester and learned how to diagnose problems with a multimeter. One of the best £50s I've ever spent.

Good luck!!

Thats the plan, I want to go on a couple of manufacturer's courses as I think this is a good thing to do, I have also had a word with my now redundent (I have the power now 😀) service engineer and he has agreed to take me out once a week to see how its done.
First boiler I have is a replacement so now I can comission it as well 😀😀
